Choose the office by the type of event. Jail staff can address a known current booking, while a completed Coos County release transaction requires a written request to Sheriff Records. A court order, state-prison discharge, supervision question, or notification registration belongs to a different system.

Oregon now uses VISOR for participating custody and supervision searches and opt-in notifications. It is a notification service, not a certified release record.
These routes address the most common needs:
- For a named released person or county release record, begin with the Coos County release search and records path.
- For supervision after release, use Coos County parole and probation and then call the assigned office.
- Coos County has no official retrospective feed of people released in the last day. The 24-Hour Release List page explains the official alternatives.
